What this website stores in your browser. Browsing sets no cookies: a cookie is only set when you sign in, and the enquiry list and newsletter pop-up remember a little in your browser’s own storage.

This page describes, in plain terms, what the website actually does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be checked against UAE data protection law, and any other applicable law, before this site goes live. It must also be updated before any analytics or marketing script is added to the site — the admin panel can inject scripts, and doing so without revising this page would make it inaccurate.
What we set today
This website, operated by HAMMINER INTERNATIONAL LLC, sets no cookies while you browse. There is no analytics, no advertising or remarketing tag, no social pixel, no A/B testing tool and no cross-site tracking. There is nothing here that follows you anywhere.
A cookie is set only when someone signs in, and each one exists to keep that sign-in working:
hamminer_customer_session
Purpose: Keeps you signed in to your customer account, where the site offers accounts. Set when you register or sign in.
Type: Strictly necessary. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure in production.
Lifetime: Up to 30 days. Deleted when you sign out.
hamminer_reset_token
Purpose: Carries the one-time code from a password-reset email to the reset form, so the code never sits in the address bar. Sent only to the password-reset page.
Type: Strictly necessary. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure in production.
Lifetime: Up to 1 hour. Deleted once the password is changed.
hamminer_admin_session
Purpose: Keeps a HAMMINER staff member signed in to the admin panel at /admin. Never set for a visitor browsing the site.
Type: Strictly necessary. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure in production.
Lifetime: Up to 12 hours. Deleted on sign-out.
Browser storage
Two features remember something in your browser’s own local storage. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to us as you browse, and neither item identifies you.
hm:enquiry-basket
Purpose: The products you added to your enquiry list — product, option and quantity — so the list is still there when you come back. It reaches us only when you press Send.
Type: Needed for the enquiry list to work.
Lifetime: Until you send the enquiry or clear the list.
hm:newsletter-popup
Purpose: Remembers that you closed the newsletter pop-up, so it does not keep appearing.
Type: Remembers a choice you made.
Lifetime: For a set number of days after you close the pop-up.
What a strictly necessary cookie means
It is the one category that does not require consent, and it is worth being precise about why.
A cookie is strictly necessary when the service cannot be provided without it. Signing in is the textbook case: without a session cookie there is no way to know that the person on the next page is the one who just signed in. None of the cookies above carries a tracking identifier, none is readable by JavaScript, and none is used for anything beyond that sign-in.
Leaving this site
This is the part most likely to matter to you in practice.
Product pages here link out to Amazon UAE and Noon UAE. The moment you follow one of those links you are on their website, governed by their cookie and privacy policies — which do include advertising and analytics cookies. This policy covers this site only, and we have no control over, and no visibility of, what those marketplaces set.
The same applies to any other external link on the site.
If this changes
Analytics is a live client decision, not a settled one, so this section exists deliberately.
The admin panel can add tracking or analytics scripts to the site without a code change. If that happens, this page will be updated first to describe what is used and why, and where consent is required a consent mechanism will be in place before those cookies are set — not afterwards.

Managing cookies in your browser
Very little here needs managing, but the controls exist regardless.
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data per site, usually under privacy or site settings. Blocking cookies for this site has no effect on browsing or reading product pages; it only stops you signing in to a customer account. Clearing this site’s data also empties your enquiry list.
Cookie questions
Why isn't there a cookie banner?
Because there is nothing to ask consent for. A banner is required for non-essential cookies — analytics, advertising, profiling — and this site sets none. The only cookies here keep a sign-in working, which is strictly necessary.
Does the site track me across other websites?
No. There are no advertising pixels, no remarketing tags and no cross-site identifiers on this site.
What happens when I click through to Amazon or Noon?
You leave this site and land on theirs, at which point their cookie and privacy policies apply in full — including any advertising cookies they set. Nothing on this page has any bearing on what happens there.
Can I block cookies and still use the site?
Yes. Browsing and reading product pages do not use cookies at all. Blocking them only stops you signing in to a customer account.
Do the contact and enquiry forms set a cookie?
No. The forms send your submission and set nothing. The enquiry list keeps the products you added in your browser’s own storage until you send it or clear it. What happens to a submission is covered by the Privacy Policy.
